                                                                                                                              About me:
    I am Steve Petrunti a second generation builder/carpenter with over 40 years of experience in residential construction.  Until recently,  along with my brother Tom, I was  co owner and operator of Petrunti Brothers Contracting which was established in 1986.   From our inception until the late 1990s we operated primarily as framing contractors providing carpentry labor for various new home builders in the Hartford County area. 
    Around the start of the new millennium we switched gears and our primary focus  was on home improvement and remodeling working directly for homeowners.  As remodelers  we became involved with various projects acting as both carpenters and general contractors ranging from large additions and renovations  to smaller home repairs.  At the end of the 2021 calendar year after 35 years in business and as a result of my desire to slow down a bit and transition into retirement my brother and I officially ended our partnership.  We now operate as separate sole proprietorships but still occasionally work together.
   I am now in my 60's and still in excellent health.   I still enjoy getting out everyday performing health enhancing physical labor, interacting with customers who most invariably become friends, and of course getting paid for it.  I am open to projects of any size and in any location if the situation is right.   The type of projects I am now most eager to take on are ones which are small to medium in size.  These would include jobs which are somewhat easy to price, are located in towns  closer to my home in East Granby, and are jobs I can do by myself or with minimal assistance.  The type of projects I most desire are depicted in photos of my previous jobs displayed in the two galleries linked at the top of each page of this website.
    While most of my work over recent years has been for homeowners I also do subcontract carpentry or project management for other builders in need of temporary help.  I love working outside doing decks and other exterior structures as well as interior kitchen renovations , door hanging, and trim work.  
    I have always prided myself on being honest, reliable, hard working and reasonably priced.  I only take on as much work as I can handle, I am always on time and do all my own carpentry.  Likewise as a project manager or general contractor I only bring in subcontractors who perform similarly.
